Learn More about Oxygen Bars

What Is an Oxygen Bar?

Our oxygen bar offers non-medical oxygen mixed with various scents including aromatherapy. The air we normally breathe contains about 21% oxygen, and the rest is Nitrogen, Argon and other trace gasses. The oxygen in our oxygen bar is between 90% and 92% oxygen allowing you to breathe 4 to 5 times the normal amount of oxygen. Oxygen bars can give you an uplifted refreshed feeling as well as increased energy, detoxification and a general overall good feeling.

How Will It Make Me Feel?

Breathing higher concentrations of oxygen has several benefits. The most commonly reported benefits are increased energy, an uplifted refreshed feeling, clearing of the mind, relief of toxic headaches such as the hangover, relief of stress and promotion of higher concentration levels. Oxygen is also a proven detoxifier and has anti-aging properties.

Is Breathing Oxygen in an Oxygen Bar Harmful?

There are no risks and no adverse effects with the short-term use of oxygen. The American Lung Association has said that breathing oxygen from an oxygen bar for less than 30 minutes (one oxygen bar session) has no harmful effects and there is no evidence that oxygen used in bars can be dangerous to a normal person's health.

Where Does the Oxygen Come from?

Our oxygen comes from completely self-contained machines called oxygen concentrators (non-medical). These non-medical concentrators use a technology called Pressure Swing Adsorption, a NASA created technology that filters out Nitrogen, Argon and other trace gasses from the ambient air. This technology then pushes the separated 92% pure oxygen molecules to you, and the Nitrogen and other gasses get released back into the atmosphere.

What Are Aromas Made of?

We use only water-based, oxygen safe aromas. Some are derived from natural elements such as Eucalyptus, Lavender, Peppermint and Orange; others are fun aromas such as Pina Colada and Vanilla.

Exclusions: Must be 18 years of age. Pregnant women may not use the Oxygen Bar. All users must sign a disclosure.

Facts about Oxygen

  • The Earth's atmosphere was once comprised of 35% oxygen. Today we breathe only 21%.
  • It is believed the main reason organisms were so much larger in prehistoric time is because oxygen was present at a higher concentration.
  • Lack of oxygen in our universe is due to pollution, burning of fossil fuels and overall destruction of the ozone layer.
  • Every day we breathe 22,000 times.
  • After 35 years of age, our vital lung capacity and function begins to decline gradually as we get older. This means less oxygen, making breathing more difficult.
  • Blood is the liquid carrier of oxygen that fuels all systems, stimulates chemical reactions and cleans itself of wastes and toxins.
  • By mass, oxygen makes up 88.8% of the water molecule. Water makes up 60-70% of the human body.
  • The brain makes up 2% of our total mass and requires 20% of the body's needs.
  • Oxygen is not truly flammable. Oxygen supports combustion and is considered an oxidizer. Bubbles of oxygen do not burn.
